This year, Design M is celebrating 10 years in business! A full decade has passed during which we have designed, designed, and designed some more. We have worked with so many small businesses in such a variety of different industries, and we have many great memories since our journey began back in 2010.

Whilst we are reminiscing where the time has gone, it seems even more poignant to be celebrating such a milestone during 2020 specifically, as it has been such an absolutely crazy and unpredictable year for businesses everywhere. We have heard many stories about the continuing struggle businesses are facing, and we feel very grateful to still be holding our head above water when so many others are sadly not.

When we were a start up back in 2010, we had a clear vision of our business ethos. We wanted to provide small UK businesses with professional and affordable design solutions whilst keeping the process as simple as possible. We are proud to be a small family business and more than anything, the one thing we have always focussed on is maintaining the exceptional quality of our work on each and every project we work on. One of the ways we have achieved this is to ensure we are in control of our work output by continuing to carry out all of the services we offer in-house; our work quality is thorough because the buck stops with us.

Now, 10 years on, we still stay focused on that same ethos and it remains at the heart of everything we do. It means that our clients can be sure they are getting the best service possible, and is why so many of them have worked with us for years.

The last 10 years have certainly been a learning curve. We’ve learnt to specialise in the areas we excel in; we’ve learnt how to instinctively know what a client needs (many times before they themselves know); and we’ve learnt that, despite all of the technology we all have at our fingertips these days, you just can’t underestimate the power of a hand written to-do list and a few bright highlighters to organise the day ahead.

Our hopes for the next 10 years (and beyond…) are to continue doing what we do best; supporting small businesses in their quest for fantastic, professional branding and website design. And with a potentially challenging economic future ahead, we hope that the service we provide can make a real difference in helping other businesses remain strong and successful.

Finally, we want to thank every single client who has given us work over the last 10 years; with a special acknowledgement to those who were there at the very beginning – you know who you are. We now look forward to the future and to continuing to work with clients, both current and new, on all of your exciting business branding and website projects.
